It’s always fab when a location shoot is booked and on the day of the shoot the sun shines brightly! That’s not to say that I don’t enjoy a moody, cloudy sky, there’s a time and a place for that, but when the location is Hove beach huts on a crisp February day with a couple of personal trainers I had envisaged something bright and colourful.  So imagine my glee upon waking up to glorious sunshine! YAY! The weather gods were shining down on us!

It was rather chilly on the seafront when I met Lou & Suzy, but we braved the cold and the wind to amble down to the seafront where the brightly coloured beach huts stretch as far as the eye can see.

Here’s a little selection of some of my faves. 

Lou & Suzy met about 5 years ago when Lou hired Suzy as her own personal trainer. When Lou decided to go into personal training herself, the two worked together a local Brighton gym. But their trainer-clad little tootsie’s had begun to itch and so, tired of corporate gyms, they decided to take the plunge and start their own business, Energise.

Now they have the freedom to work from the gym, from a client’s home, or even from Suzy’s beach hut in hove! Now that’s a way to train! With the launch of their website coming soon, the girls asked me to take some pics of them that they could use on their website, and in their social media. Their brief was simple…’not too cheesy, not too posed, natural and fun’. We decided to shoot both on the beach and in one of the studio’s they train from which meant we could really show off some of their moves. (And I think that after about 40 mins of outdoor shooting poor Suzy was rapidly losing feeling in her fingers, poor thing.)
